TORONTO — Avison Young has appointed Arlene Dedier as principal and executive vice-president and Canadian practice leader, project management services.

The appointment is part of Avison Young’s commitment to grow its consultative real estate solution offerings, including project management, as expansion continues across North America.

In her new role, Dedier will be responsible for developing and building optimal real estate solutions for office, industrial, retail or institutional clients, states a release, adding she will also accelerate growth through acquisitions, recruitment and new business development, with a focus on building upon existing talent to help scale up project management.

Dedier, a project management professional, has 30 years of experience in project management, commercial real estate and architecture including 11 years at Colliers Project Leaders, where she served as the North American executive champion of diversity and inclusion. She was awarded the 2020 Catalyst Canada Honour, Business Leader Award for building an inclusive and diverse Canadian team.

A graduate of Carleton University’s School of Architecture, Dedier has also been a member of the CREW Network, participated in the Sponsorship Committee and the Inclusion, Equity, Diversity and Allyship Committee. She is a member of the NAIOP Commercial Real Estate Association, an associate member of the American Institute of Architects and a Green Associate CaGBC LEED.
